By painting on the reverse side of the plexiglass without viewing the front during the process\, she embraces the unexpected\, allowing the interplay between material and chance to guide her art. This method not only reflects her fascination with design-oriented creativity but also challenges traditional perceptions of control in painting. \n\n\n\nKirsti Tuokko trained as a visual arts teacher at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki and later took additional graphic and symbolic design courses at the University of California\, Berkeley.
