DESCRIPTION:As an inspiring start of our activity year\, we are greatly honored to have Former President of Finland\, Tarja Halonen\, as our September luncheon distinguished speaker! \n\n\n\nPresident Halonen served as Finland’s 11th President\, two terms from 2000 to 2012\, and is Finland’s first and only woman president till now. Throughout her distinguished career\, President Halonen has been a strong advocate for human rights\, democracy\, social justice\, equality\, and sustainable development\, and is widely respected for her leadership both in Finland and internationally. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresident Halonen will share with us her personal journey\, areas of interest\, and current area of focus. It is our privilege to have President Halonen and to hear firsthand from one of Finland’s most respected and influential leaders! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease be ready and seated before the talk\, which starts at 11:30. \n\n\n\n\nPresident Tarja Halonen’s talk and Q&A: 11:30-12:10; \n\n\n\n\n\nthree-course meal: 12:15-14:00\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe venue is in Helsinki city center and will be announced to registered attendees near to the date. \n\n\n\nExceptionally\, this luncheon is for our members only. \n\n\n\nCancellations must be sent to Irina@iwch.fi by Thursday 3.9.2026.
