She encourages intentional buying and thoughtful consideration with each purchase.The designer, originally from Helsinki, Finland, pursued a Master of Arts degree from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. She furthered her fashion studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Utrecht University of the Arts in the Netherlands, and the Institut Francais de la mode in Paris. Before establishing her own label in 1999, Anna Ruohonen gained valuable experience working for notable names such as Jose Levy in Paris and Martin Margiela. Her portfolio extends to independent design projects, including jewelry, fabrics, prints and costumes for film and theatre productions.
