Villa Weckström is pleased to invite the members of IWCH to the home and art gallery of professor, sculptor and jewellery designer Björn Weckström on 24.2.2026 at 15:00.
“Björn Weckström is known for many of the first Star Wars film, where in the final scene, Princess Leia wears a necklace and bracelet that Weckström designed. Weckström’s scuptures have been exhibited in several European museums. He has also several public commissions in Helsinki, including the Whistling Helsinkian on Iso Roobertinkatu.”

“On a tour of the house on the shores of the Baltic Sea, the artist travels through his career from a world-renowned jewellery designer to a sculptor who interprets ancient mythologies to contemporary themes, such as genetic engineering, information and disinformation, our relationship with machines.”
