We have the great pleasure to invite you to meet Ms. Silla Kakkola, Secretary General of NYTKIS, a coalition of Finnish Women’s Associations consisting of the women’s organisations of the parties represented in Parliament, the Feminist Association Unioni, the National Council of Women of Finland and the Association for Gender Studies in Finland.

About Nytkis

NYTKIS was founded in 1988 – it is an umbrella organisation for all women’s organisations in Finland, represents women’s organizations in European Women’s Lobby. We have 12 member organizations – 9 political and 3 politically unaffiliated organizations – basically, we collect all Finnish women’s organizations at the same table. 

NYTKIS is an independent NGO financially supported mainly by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The association works to achieve true gender equality, maintain world peace, and achieve global social justice. Our values are:  cooperation, equality, consensus, feminism, non-discrimination.
