As an inspiring start of our activity year, we are greatly honored to have Former President of Finland, Tarja Halonen, as our September luncheon distinguished speaker!
President Halonen served as Finland’s 11th President, two terms from 2000 to 2012, and is Finland’s first and only woman president till now. Throughout her distinguished career, President Halonen has been a strong advocate for human rights, democracy, social justice, equality, and sustainable development, and is widely respected for her leadership both in Finland and internationally.
President Halonen will share with us her personal journey, areas of interest, and current area of focus. It is our privilege to have President Halonen and to hear firsthand from one of Finland’s most respected and influential leaders!
