If you are enthusiastic about neo-gothic architecture, you are warmly invited to join us for a tour of the Finnish House of Nobility organized by Tuula, our cultural outings specialist. We promise you will have a good time and learn more about Helsinki’s architectural heritage!
The Finnish House of Nobility, constructed in 1862 based on G.T. Chiewitz’s neo-Gothic design, was the first parliamentary building in Finland. Initially serving as a meeting place for the four estates at the Diet of 1863, it remains an active venue for various events. The house, with a museum-like quality due to its contemporary interior, also houses the office of the House of Nobility and a library. The Assembly Hall, known for its gothic splendor, is a popular venue for corporate events, concerts, conferences, and other functions. The building’s historical environment coexists with modernized office spaces catering to present-day business needs.
