Join us for another exclusive dip into the Helsinki art scene. This time, Inside the Arts visits the atelier of Finnish artist Inka Bell.
Inka Bell (b. 1981) is a Helsinki-based visual artist who works within the expanded field of printmaking, exploring printed images, paper sculptures, and public art.
Her interests lie in visual phenomena and the limitless possibilities of constructing image surfaces. Bell, who often works in series, brings echoes of Minimalism, Concretism and Kinetic art into her pieces.
Through materials, colour, form, and repetition, her works explore the relationship between the two- and three-dimensional. Bell’s colour choices, and the visual observations born with in her works resist verbalisation and external interpretation.
Join Inside the Arts for an intimate evening in the studio of Inka Bell, where we will have the special opportunity to meet the artist herself, hear about her practice as an artist, and engage in open dialogue together.
